one man's trash...

********************

A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. If you're inspired to do the same, leave a link to your 'moment' in the comments for all to find and see. {amanda blake soule}

Wishing you a lovely weekend!

    You know, it is not bad for an antique! I can;t believe someone was throwing this out! The upholstery neds to be replaced, but otherwise it is solid and weighs a ton!

    My kiddos got such a kick out of my mum and I hauling it into the truck...I just wish this moment included my mister's face when he came home ans saw it sitting just there on our back patio!

  9. Beautiful! Wow, someone was throwing it out!? Great find.

    Thanks for commenting on my blog. I am very sad to leave and no it's completely across country where we'll be moving. But the move is temporary and we may still come back. It's all dependent on jobs. Either way we are forging ahead. And I'm grateful to be able to be right in the middle of the change of seasons this year.

  13. Excuse me for saying, but that's one friggin' awesome score!!!!
    We don't have roadside pick up out where I live, so I have to go directly to the dump to do my diving! Oh...the wonderful treasures I've found!
    (makes many a person want to join me in my "treasure" hunting)!

    I've never picked something up like this before...it is something I would have dreamed of finding at an estate sale...but free was good too, especially since it needs work!

    my treasure indeed! At first I was thinking of refinishing it myself, but I like it so much that I don't want to mess it up! So for now it will stay as is until I either read up more on uphostery, or save enough pennies to pay someone else...no rush!
