earth day

Yeah! Happy Eath Day!
Ok, how does confession go again?
Lord I am heartfully sorry, for having offended you. In what I have done and what I have failed to do...

In the last 6 months,
I have not been using reusable bags...
I have not been composting,
I have not used my G diapers
and I just opted OUT of a townie kiddie gardening club because I don't want a bunch of other
people's children running through my garden...

When it comes to religion, my mama always said, "it's not what you give up, it is what you DO". Well, I'm not talking about 5 Our Father's and 10 Hair Mary's. A much better way to DO is one step at a time. So while I still will not participate in a kiddie gardening club {AKA, "your kids running through my garden"}, there are alot of good habits that I need to re-establish. I suppose we {I} can tend to get lazy. So I will use this holiday as a reminder that while I might not want to go the extra mile, I would go to the ends of the earth and back for my kiddos. And that is really what it is all about, making the world a better place for the ones we love; the one's who will be here after we are long gone.

It is cliche, but if we all did just one thing, the world would be a much better place.
Have a beautiful day!

  1. Can you force the kids to weed at the garden party? It might be worth it at spring clean-up time!

  3. I am carrying a similar guilt for not using the cloth diapers we have...mainly because they aren't great (except for the 8 bum genius we have) and Poppy's poops are insane and numerous and they stink...
Thank you for confessing...I feel a post of my own confessions coming on!
    ;)
